In class when the teacher would put us into groups for a project, my groupmates would be visibly annoyed and interact with me as little as possible.

When i was in school they let us pick groups/partners and naturally everyone picked their best friends. I always eneded up with the only other kid that had no friends or a thrid wheel in somebody else's group that felt sorry enough.
