Imagine if you die like that e-girl; what would there be next? eternal darkness, hell? it's hard to imagine the nothingness, even darkness is something.

I believe we repeat the same life for eternity

Nope. No darkness no heaven no hell. You just cease to be. It's literally impossible to imagine, because nonexistence is an inherently incomprehensible concept, but that's how it is

That would suck, to be honest. There's a speculation in the scientific field that there used to be another universe previous to the current one, maybe there was another Earth with other versions of you and me living on it.

I believe in the afterlife and the before-life. The universe (or multiverse) is eternal, but it is constantly undergoing motion and change. It is a logical absurdity to speak of anything starting or ceasing to exist.
Since the universe is eternal, consciousness has to be eternal as well, which implies a sort of afterlife.

I recall the Fritz had something to say about eternal something something. The idea that you repeat your life again and again, while not exactly what you're referring to, reminded me of it.

Various attempts have been made to identify a single behavioural characteristic that distinguishes humans from all other animals.

Eternal recurrence. It is a terrifying idea; as terrifying as the ideas of eternal damnation found in religions. The argument is that, since time is infinite, the probability of the same events recurring becomes infinite as well. I'm sure there's a flaw in the argument --there has to be-- but I haven't thought about it enough to figure it out.

i like the idea of reincarnation

there is no after life

it would probably just be being unconscious

but if theres an afterlife, then i would probably be repeating the same life over and over again

Yep I don't think there is an afterlife

I hope there is, kinda scary having no conscious for all eternity

no bro. I think the experience we have is just the product of the brain. Once that lump of meat is dead, are experience goes with it. Lights out boyo

I believe it's possible, but who knows...

I fucking swear if after going through this shitty life as an autistic incel subhuman with social anxiety, who most likely dies a KHHV and i DON'T get an afterlife.
I just want to die and wake up surrounded by sexy ass Night Elfs and breed them infinitely

muh is the same as before you were born: nothing

I believe the soul doesn't die

you die every 7 years also remember that

Hope it is. Would be so nice to get outta here

not much

there would be some terrible visions during brain death, which can take a while, but those would be all deeply individual experiences that you couldn't quantify or describe to anyone, 'life flashing before your eyes' type shit, it could stretch out for a long time since perception of time is subjective, but it wouldn't last forever, eventually there would just be nothing

I think it's like sleeping but permanent.

I believe it's that after yo die there is nothing whatsover. Just like before you were born.

No I'm a hard materialist however i do belive in a conception of god who is eternal and i do belive all matter is eternal but no afterlife

I hope not, I just want this to end

You are right about universe, but you're considering consciousness a thing of its own, while it's temporary property of high order living matter. Your body loses this property once you die, and it can no longer be obtained anymore.

Its impossible. You are not a god who has some sort of out of physical body soul. You are just a brain and nervous system inside a body made of flesh and bone.

How can you have an after life if your conciousness is part of your PHYSICAL brain

How does this property arise? Does it arise from the complexity of organic matter?

Suppose you're a programmer and you manage to write the most complex and sophisticated code there is. This code has trillions and trillions of lines of code full of conditional statements, loops, functions, variables, etc. Do you think this program you wrote would be as little as an inch closer to achieving sentience than a simple Hello World program? I don't believe so.

I'm not saying that the body retains its consciousness after death, but I suspect that consciousness is something very fundamental to the universe itself, like motion for instance. The idea of sentience arising from complete insentience makes no sense to me.

tbh i hope there is an after life or rebirth, maybe we will all be reborn as 10/10 males

ah will nevah die, Humans Will die out an' i Will roam th' earth until it burns t'a crisp

I recently became a Deist (higher power but none of the gods in religions) so I believe there's one. I'll probably end in a stream of dark souls after my plan is fulfilled, though. But that doesn't dissuade me from what I'm planning to do.

No man, but I could only hope that I would be reborn as a tall NT Chad.

I am not sure, however during a near death experience many years ago, I saw Biblical figures.

Idk but I want 72 lolis when I die

Think about it, if you are alive right now there is a possibility of being alive again, we have no idea how anything works.

also time is a human believe

It's not, our so called "consciousness" is extra complicated system of all senses and perceptions we have united together with some social/complex behavioral programs added, it is dedicated solely for our survival and imagining it continue its existence once we die makes completely no sense.
