I believe the mind is just information and when that information is gone its gone. If you replicate an exact copy of yourself are you the same person though? Your cells are constantly dying and being remade so every 7 years youre not even physically the same person.

I don't think there is life after death, there is only life and death itself, and your idea that the mind is just information is very true, I think, in the sense that there really is nothing that perfectly defines what we are since we are in a constant state of change. There is a difference between 'you' at one point in time and 'you' at another point in time, yet they both were aware of their existence. I don't see why that should be any different than the consciousness of two different people.
