New York is 9 million in the City and about 14 million in the suburbs and Edmonton is about a 1 million.
Edmonton is a lot colder for sure ,that would be another thing

For and also Edmonton has like no suburbs whereas NY has about 5 million in suburban population.It's interesting New York still has more in the city than the suburbs.For instance Boston only has 700K in the city but close to 4 million in the burbs ,Boston does not have much land area but if you gave Boston the land area of New York it would be Americas 4th largest city

Our food is better and we have more arts per captita and great natural beauty in the western part of the state.
Boston Massachusetts is the worlds greatest city!
