I think that case in particular can be chalked up to stupidity. Teachers are really fucking stupid, prime examples of NPC. Good enough at specific things to teach them, but so fucking stupid in most other ways that they have no fucking idea what they're doing. Normies in general just go with the flow like, putting little thought into what they do or say.

I think it's the same way they want average to below average males to be productive no matter what and not take it easy. At some level they know you have no reason to contribute fully if you won't get anything out of it and it will be to the benefit of others and not you but they want to nip this in the bud as quick as possible. So even acting average, quiet and normal gets you angry reactions and you are encouraged to "embrace differences" and "be proud of who you are" so that you can stick out more and not fly under the radar.
