Apparently this is commonly associated with narcissism.

A child can be the scapegoat (whom the narcissistic parent blames for everything, acts as a saviour for, maybe even sets up to fail, etc) or the golden child, who is held up as an example of how great the parent is.

Anyway, just wondering if any of you have this. I think my dad basically treats me as the scapegoat and my sister as the golden child.

everybody does

In my case: there is child from external family.

"serving family" and "privilleged family"

My mother blames me for her shitty life.

anytime something goes wrong i'm the first one to be blamed
it happens so often i just prepare for it
i'm the youngest child, so it makes sense since i'm the least established in the heirarchy

No they pity me

Yeah I expect it too, at least from my dad.

He even has a go at me when nothing has even happened, or sets up weird situations and then blames me for them.

But I think it's all part of that scapegoat dynamic.

That sucks.

Yeah my dad is hard work. Gets angry at me over nothing, puts 100% of the blame on me for things, guilt-trips, plays the victim, etc etc.

All the typical narcissist stuff really tbh.

my parents are racist
