I think there are arguments for both answers.

On one hand, autists tend to be ignorant or uncaring about stuff outside their narrow set of interests.
On the other hand, autists aren't bound by their ego or social conventions like neurotypical people are, giving them an advantage in introspection.
 
Yes. During my second mental breakdown, I realized how superior my abilities truly were compared to the youth I encountered in group therapy.
