Women are as of February 24th allowed to wear makeup, ponytails, earrings, lipstick, and colored nail polish in uniform in U.S. army.
Discrimination
Of course none of these things apply to men, the panel that decided these things was made up of 15 women and 2 men, and the justification for various other changes that have been made are justified mostly because of women's problems. The female specific changes are to basically make women "feel like women" and therefore be more comfortable being in the military which at least they say, is supposed to reduce their attrition rate which is much higher than men's. If you want to feel more like a man though with a beard, that is still not allowed.
This of course, as always, is in the name of diversity and inclusion. A great start to 2021.
Kicking ass and taking names and looking pretty while doing itMeh, foids in armed forces is makework anyway. They're never going to be combat anyway. Might as well not even force uniforms.
