I read a good amount of lesbian erotica on my kindle which I brought from Amazon. But that was to learn the craft so I could write and sell them myself, didn't work out though. You're right, erotica is a lot more formulaic than other genres, probably because they always have to have a sex scene. I don't think theme itself is even important in erotica short stories.
