It is quite symbolic, both poignant and eerily relatable in that it says a lot about our society. I don't think there is a more elegant example of existential nihilism.
Because there are no predators and the central lands of Antarctica are permanently frozen, this means that somewhere out there, there are valleys full of dead frozen penguins, all hunched over in silent worship of their Gods, frozen in their last breath.
