The accepted ((("scholarly"))) reason by various universities is because blacks lack opportunities elsewhere and view athletics as their only road to success.
The best example proving this is long-distance running. It's dominated by Kenya, Ethiopia, various poor African countries. So, you'd think long-distance running is popular there? No, not really. The favorite sport there is soccer, like every other poor country. And they absolutely suck at it.

If nigs didn’t evolve to run and run fucking fast they’d be lunch for tigers, lions and cheetahs more often than not in that African shithole that they’re from.
I think in USA they picked the most genetically gifted to be slaves and the genetics were better than Whites in athletics so I’d say thats a reason. It might be because it’s a way out of poverty (in Africa and Brazil in particular)
