It has some truth to it. Women are attracted to looks + behavior, because they seek survival and replication value. They are weaker and less intelligent than men and are extremely vulnerable durning a pregnancy. That's why I think your survival value is as important as replication value(looks). If you are able to demonstrate behaviors that indicate a high survival value it will increase your chances of getting laid(That's what pick up is all about tbh). On the other hand there is a lot of bullshit as well. It has become and industry and they try their hardest to make everyone believe that looks don't matter and they also use some scammy marketing techniques.

The notion that unattractive looks precludes the possibility of getting dates wouldn't account for all the ugly guys I see with women. Your attractiveness is not restricted to physical appearance. IMO it boils down to is physical appearance, social aptitude (i.e. having "game", which, in truth, has fuck all to do with the actual quality of one's personality), and wealth. And all of these are inextricably linked to social status which is the be all and end all of a woman's existence. The lower you are in one of these spectrums the more you have to compensate in the others. If you score low in all three of these spectrums, pack your shit and go home. It's over.
