the dude in the video certainly had a big neck to begin with. The insertions of your neck muscles don't magically move to the sides when you train them. Neck muscles are quie thin to begin with and I have a hard time believing you coud achieve results comparable to these photoshopped pictures.

He obviously has bigger trapz etc. but he started with a tiny ass neck. Neck muscles grow really fucking fast because of the blood flow etc.

Beard + traps are what make the main difference in that case and give the illusion of a bigger neck imo. Nevertheless that's interesting to know, i'll keep that in mind.
 
the main thing that creates the visual thickness of the neck is the sternomastoids pushing against the traps. you don't even need to target neck specifically, training your traps with over heard press, rows, and deadlifts will make you look like you have a bigger neck, and can easily take from your 14 inches to 16 inches.

What is the mechanism for neck training fixing my deformed facial bones? My neck is 16" anyway, 80th percentile at low bodyfat.
 
I wear chokers, I'll keep my skinny anime neck. Fuck what bitches think about my neck.
 
The only neck training I will be doing will involve one long gently swaying set.
