I had to be escorted by some Russian friends while I was in St. Petersburg and trust me. Everybody was staring and this was around 9 pm. The only reason I went out was to checkout the Canals and that's it! I was escorted by some Tall, strong Russian men that were hyper vigilant. We were only out for 20 minutes, and then took a taxi back to the hotel immediately! Since we both stood out a lot! Xenophobia, and Racism is real.. trust me YOU WILL GET CHECKED OUT THERE! It's a whole different ball game! Most of you are not built to play!

The police don't give a fuck in Russia. The law enforcement in Russia is different than in western countries. The police department will play by there own bureaucratic rules, and trust me it wont be in your own favour. This also goes for Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova. If they want to murder you, rape you, and beat the fuck out of you! They will do it and nobody will stop them!

I've come across some Russians over the years here in SF. Weird people. They seem very friendly at first but can get pretty aggressive and hostile pretty quick. Seems like a national character trait.
