Burlington man faces terrorism charge for support of 'Incel ideology'

24-year-old used online social media accounts to utter threats, RCMP allege

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say a Burlington man arrested in earlier this year on charges of uttering threats has now been charged with terrorist activity in support of the Incel ideology.

On April 29, DeAndre Anderson, 24, was charged with two counts of uttering threats under section 264.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The RCMP Federal Policing Integrated National Security Enforcement Team in the Greater Toronto Area allege that Anderson "used online social media accounts to utter threats in support of the Incel ideology", the RCMP said in a release.
