To add to this, what I would need for a happy solitary existence:

1. Up to date internet always.
2. Up to date computer to play vidya on.
3. Membership to an online library covered.
4. Unlimited alcohol.
5. Unlimited cigarettes.
6. Unlimited drugs.
7. I guess some controllers and adapters would be welcome for non-PC games.

If I had that, I wouldn't bother with anything else.
