For instance, my first point is, in the Bible, OT/Old Testament, it speaks of the Messiah coming on the clouds, as Well as riding into Jerusalem on a donkey.
This troubles many rabbis if not all, where some make an excuse that there are in fact Two Messiahs! That solves the two scenerios.
Other explanation is rather.... they inject their own interpterion desperately, where if they are behaving good in that generation, Messiah will come on the clouds, if they are being sinful, then when he comes, he will come riding on a donkey.
In Christianity we believe and know that, basically, JESUS came first, riding on a donkey, and when HE Returns again, After the Gospel is Preached Worldwide, HE Will Then return coming on the clouds, as HE said HE will do when HE Returns.
Why the long time duration? Because HE IS GOD and that is HIS Will. Who are you to say? The whole point of JESUS dying for our sins, is so all can be Saved, and many things will take place prior.
Second point, Hosea Prophecy.
In the Book of Hosea, it is said that Israel will be cut off, scattered, torn apart by YHWH. This was fulfilled when Israel rejected CHRIST and had HIM crucified.
It say's but in 2 days/2 thousand years that then, GOD will Restore Israel, and on the Third Day, Israel will live in GOD'S Presence.
Why is 2 days/2 thousand years? Well in the Bible we learn, that a day to GOD is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are as a day that has just gone by..
So basically, Israel was restored in 1948 as a nation, had miraculous victories, the Gospel is basically preached and being preached worldwide. Being persecuted worldwide by muslims and other communist governments, And soon it will get worse since that Third Day is almost upon us.
The Third day is 1,000 years right? A day is 1,000 years? Well the Bible also speaks of a thousand year reign of CHRIST. And after that, Eternal Reign non stop.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Prince of Peace. Well this is what JESUS Say's.
Metthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Mighty God is also El Gibor, meaning Mighty GOD in Hebrew. A Special Title Only used one other time, afterward in reference to YHWH.
