If you live alone, capture a pokemon, put it in an underground hidden jail and breed it  this is of course a mission on gta san andreas btw

Get a Hobby. Learn a skill.
1. Hobbies are shitty copes, what's the point of doing something just to occupy your mind? You won't enjoy it and you will be forcing yourself to do it.
2. Skill? What skill? Unless you're 15 you're probably too old to get really good at anything. Most stuff takes A LOT of hard work. I tried several things and 3 or 4 months in I still sucked at them. All I did was waste months of my time being tired and forcing myself to learn shit I can't make any money off.

Moreover. The fastest way to learn things is to have someone competent teach you. Most self learners never amount to anything unless they are prodigies. Most of us are average or below average IQ. What the fuck are we to do?

It’s over bro.

According to many of your previous posts you like animals.

How about doing shit with them/for them? Like keeping them or simply helping at a shelter.

It's never too late to acquire some knowledge there and learning can be quite fulfilling when it comes to animals. They improve the life quality of many individuals by providing companionship/love and give a life purpose via regular responsibilities.

Even doing research about them on the Internet is fun. For most animals there are nowadays excellent care sheets available and many of the invertebrates (or even some reptiles/fish/amphibians) require little care/cost/maintenance/attention and many easy to keep/breed species can be bought there for little money.
Of course for forming real bonds/touching mammals are the better alternative, although many reptiles/amphibians/fish recognize (or seem to recognize) you too (or at least associate you with food). And via animals you can form irl connections with many enthusiasts/other good people.

Gardenmaxxing is fun too, there are nowadays many apps to help with the start (for example for identification), there are guides everywhere on how to keep different plants and many interest groups where you can connect with more experienced keepers. It's the same as with animals albeit with far less responsibilities/guilt when something goes wrong.

Don't listen to guys that tell you that you need to be young to learn a completely new trade/skill set, I know many guys who became complete lateral entrants even in their 30s/40s and are now considered to be experts about that field.
[UWSL]This applies to all trades/skills too, [/UWSL]it's of course easier to learn it when you are younger but it's never too late[UWSL], neuroplasticity decreases by a small amount with age, but nothing too drastic. My pulmonogist was once a carpenter until switching, one of my fav animal experts was once a salesman, etc. This is the problem with that forum: People overexaggerate truths. Flexibility indeed decreases with age, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible to do something new.[/UWSL]

Furthermore, fuck doing productive things, if you just want to rot/LDAR while listening to music/playing vidya/foodcoping nobody can blame you.

Reading something can be fun too, with libgen or z-lib you can get gratis access to many books (both scientific and popular literature).

Other good copes would be Discord simply for hearing the voice of another human being. Political discords (particularly for fringe politics) contain many people in similiar situations.

I also watch documentaries often when feeling down, particularly about WWII/other shit.

How is a hobby forcing yourself if you enjoy doing it?:feelshaha:

2.Then you failed. You have a loser mindset. If you wanted it that bad you would have already learned skills a long time ago.

3.Yes of course you want someone to do it all for you. Not gonna waste my time arguing with you.

my copes are just getting tired and repetitive, or are too expensive to really enjoy

read about finance
watch anime
download anime pictures
design speaker box
carpentry
computer hardware
cars
old video games
politics
etc

I'll at least be out of debt soon so I can invest in some copes instead

You are right.

People here often over-exaggerate truths.

Truth: Learning becomes harder with age.
Insane: Learning something after age X becomes useless/impossible because you can/will never be able to compete.

If you go to vocational trainings/to studies you often see people in their 30s/40s there too as complete beginners - along with youngfags.
They are able to compete/outperform others much younger than them.

Despite them often having to learn everything anew (like math/other shit they teach in school and that became redundant for them in their old job).

And even if you have a certain degree it doesn't mean that you have to work in that field, many physicists -for example- don't actually work in physics but in banks/other places where their math skills are valued.

Again the negative connotation of the word "cope" is something completely wrong, if a hobby as a cope makes your mind go to a different place it's doing what it's supposed to do.

And again: "The fastest way to learn things is to have someone competent teach you." Yes, and this has never been easier. If you want to learn a programming skill go to DataCamp or visit Youtube/other platforms for tutorials/exercises, download a book about it with one of the semi-legal libraries for free, for everything really forums/so(y)cial media groups exist, no matter how rare (unironically, even Reddit/Facebook is good for that), some unis even offer free courses to not-enrolled people for programming/other shit.

Im that type of person who easily gets used to things.

So copes does shit for me.

Find something you enjoy doing and stick to it, there are good copes like drawing(if you like cartoons/anime) or just traditional shit, programming, making animations, editing. What's good about those it's that if you really put the effort then you can freelance and gain some money. Even if it's for yourself you should try doing it, even if it's hard at first you should dedicate some of your time to those. You'll feel really great after you've done something productive, you get dopamine and you feel not worthless for a while.

A hobby is for yourself after all, you only need to enjoy it. Being good/bad it's irrelevant really, after all there's gonna be always someone better/worse than you. As with genetics how good you're at whatever is genetic too, there are some hobbies with no competition also.

I already tried that and I still do in a way

Documentaries are really great agreed

Yeah I really like them mostly,I try to save them always
Very good to hear.

If you want some to start with I can recommend the following animals:

Lizards: New-caledonian geckos like the crested gecko/gargoyle gecko/chameleon gecko, very easy to keep, just require fruit porridge (with supplements) as food, stay extremely small and -of course- morning geckos - they do parthenogenesis/reproduce without male help, are small and like porridge too, very cheap animals

Snakes: King snakes, corn snakes, sand boas, Dione rat snakes - easy to keep, high food drive (take dead prey easily), not too bitey/good for handling, if you don't want to feed mice to a snake I recommend garter snakes which just need fish/worms (no gold fish though due to thiaminase, smelt -however- is very good/cheap/can be bought frozen at stores for fishers, they eat filet too, please supplement)

Fish: Black skirt tetras, guppies, catfish like Corydoras

Amphibians: Pipids like clawed frogs, easy to keep in an aquarium, don't even need a filter or special light, have no problem with algae, can recognise it when you come to them and then appear awaiting food

Shrimps are fun too

Apart from that mostly dogs (if you have more time) or cats (if you have less time)

Animals are very good companions for someone's life.
Of course always acquire more info beforehand (like via books/articles) and buy from a breeder (if possible, can be met at expos).

buy from a breeder
Why tho I’d rather get a street cat than buy from breeders, also I don’t like giving live food to reptiles so I don’t like them that much as you

Yes, adopting is better when it comes to mammals. You give the cat a better home and you get a pet - two advantages.
I don’t like giving live food to reptiles so I don’t like them that much as you
All the snakes I recommended are going onto dead food, already knew that beforehand that feeding living animals could be problematic.

Live feeding is in my opinion redundant anyways, because it's unnecessary stress for all animals (for example: snakes can be severly injured by rodent bites) and because snakes don't treat living/dead prey differently (both are constricted/bitten). Feeding thawed rodents is ALWAYS better.

I don’t think you should give them live food bro that’s sick af, poor rodents , you shouldn’t give them any like that

I would never give them live prey (unless absolutely necessary).
Have never done it.

I would never give them live prey.

And agree: It's sick as fuck.
Animals are really better than humans, I really like petting or helping random animals in the streets where I’m wandering, it’s really relaxing too

This.

I can't even get high or drunk without drinking/smoking too much.

Why do I have to build tolerances to everything :fuk:

Any advice ?
Listening to music, watching a film or anything on TV, going on Youtube, playing vidya, etc. - more I don't know, down phases are normal sadly, particularly in the winter months.

It’s very fucking bad these times

Brutal. Feel hugged.

The only short term thing I can come up with is the coping mentioned above.

Maybe Fallout: New Vegas could be something for you because you seem to like lore-intensive games (same as The Witcher/Bioshock). WoW/Warcraft has had a good lore (until the last few years), but it's expensive. I could look for further suggestions.

From TV series I often watch the old X Files, sitcom shit or (for newer series) The Witcher/The Expanse if I am down.

For movies I can recommend The Raid, Tiger & Dragon or Oldboy for good fighting and for lighthearted shit Kung Pow: Enter the fist, for scarier, but not too hard shit I recommend The Thing, The Fog, 13 ghosts, House On Haunted Hill, Zodiac, Se7en, Predator, Alien, I saw the devil and others. And for a good exploitation movie: Hobo with a shotgun. I also think you could like Mad Max.

If it is possible in your area go hiking - particularly in the mountains. There bad thoughts often disappear.

Maybe boxing could also be a sport for you where you depower yourself, release endorphines and release aggression. A boxing sack can be bought with some money, so you don't have to go to any public training centre.

But mostly this shit with extremely bad phases happens and goes away again.

For more long term shit many recommend chess as a good cope. There are many online matches there available.

I’ll look thanks

I really hate sitcoms cuz they are for normies and girls, plus they are shit

I wish bro, hiking also here is really dangerous, like if you go to non crowded places you’ll probably in trouble unlike the west

If my house was big I could

I don’t like chess that much, it’s boring,I like fast paced stuff mostly to get my head away from the world

Yeah I really love the lore of games or anything really, but it shouldn’t have very bad gameplay

Just LDAR bro. Lie in your bed with food and your phone. Its the lowest effort lifestyle possible. Nothing beats it. Bonus if you can do drugs (i dont because im schizo). Ive been doing this for years. Im still alive even though i have severe depression and chronic suicidal. I will continue to do this for the rest of my life probably. I see no point in doing anything, everything is nihilistic to me. I just avoid pain as much as possible and try to be comfy
