Finasteride effectively inhibits DHT so it can’t reach the scalp as easily, but nuking your DHT is basically the only treatment we have right now. Having less DHT if your hair is sensitive to it works well, but that doesn’t mean that bald men must have a ton of DHT - only that they are sensitive to it. The common denominator in balding is sensitivity to DHT, not the amount you have.
