I'm going to provide three studies to show and prove that orgasms are harmful to your hormone profile.


Relationship between sexual satiety and brain androgen receptors​

Recently we showed that 24 h after copulation to satiety, there is a reduction in androgen receptor density (ARd) in the medial preoptic area (MPOA) and in the ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus (VMH), but not in the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BST).

Males rats were sacrificed 48 h, 72 h or 7 days after sexual satiety (4 h ad libitum copulation) to determine ARd by immunocytochemistry; --

This reduction in sexual behavior was accompanied by an ARd decrease exclusively in the MPOA-medial part (MPOM). Seventy-two hours after sexual satiety there was a recovery of sexual activity accompanied by an increase in ARd to control levels in the MPOM and an overexpression of ARd in the LSV, BST, VMH and MeA. Serum testosterone levels were unmodified during the post-satiety period.
TL;DR certain androgen receptors in your brain become less sensitive to the effects of testosterone after cooming.

Also something to note: many other androgen receptors ELSEWHERE in your body also become less sensitive to the effects of testosterone. At this current moment I can't provide any concrete proof of this - you just either take my word for it, or you don't. The choice is yours


Increased estrogen receptor alpha immunoreactivity in the forebrain of sexually satiated rats​

Estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) participates in the neuroendocrine regulation of male sexual behavior, primarily in brain areas located in the limbic system. Males of many species present a long-term inhibition of sexual behavior after several ejaculations, known as sexual satiety. It has been shown that androgen receptor density is reduced 24 h after a single ejaculation or mating to satiety, in the medial preoptic area, nucleus accumbens and ventromedial hypothalamus. The aim of this study was to analyze if the density of ERα was also modified 24 h after a single ejaculation or mating to satiety. Sexual satiety was associated with an increased ERα density ----
TL;DR cooming makes certain parts of your brain more sensitive to the effects of estrogen. Once again, this study only proved that it makes parts of the brain more sensitive to estrogen, but it makes many estrogen receptors in your body more receptive to it, not just your brain. But I can't yet provide concrete proof for this.


Orgasm-induced prolactin secretion: feedback control of sexual drive?​

Recent studies from our laboratory have investigated the hormonal response to various forms of sexual stimulation, including film, masturbation, and coitus in both men and women. This series of studies clearly demonstrated that plasma prolactin (PRL) concentrations are substantially increased for over 1h following orgasm (masturbation and coitus conditions) in both men and women, but unchanged following sexual arousal without orgasm.

Supporting this position, chronic elevations of PRL (hyperprolactinemia) produce pronounced reductions in animal sexual activity, and significant reduction of libido and gonadal function in both men and women.

I'm on my skamza nofap sigma bateman grinding streak rn, I only fap once in two weeks on average and I feel better compared to daily cooming. It has its scientific background so I don't think it's all placebo.
 
The takeaway here should be to coom infrequently, not to avoid cooming altogether.
