The point is that I can't really say that I somehow know everything clandestine that happens in the world, especially if I don't experience much of it firsthand. I sorta get what OP is saying but it's a bit misguided. It is completely possible to know something the general public doesn't. The general public does not seek out information that will make their human experience MORE uncomfortable. They don't want to know what nefarious things their government gets up to. They don't want to know what forms of degenerate entertainment their Hollywood elite enjoy. A lot of times the evidence is out there, its just a matter of going to get it, which most people don't do.

People don't like thinking in general, so I do agree with what you said about it. Is the feeling of responsibility necessarily there though? It's relatively easy to simply do nothing with the acceptance of new uncomfortable ideas, unless most normies actually do believe that they have "stand up & fight" every time they hear something of this type.
