Hey hey!
Something has been bugging me recently; animator John Kricfalusi (creator of Ren and Stimpy) was newly exposed as having had a teenage girlfriend in his forties, and constantly hitting on younger women that worked for him. To my surprise, this is apparently really evil behavior. The thing is, even after much rumination, I just cannot figure out why this is wrong at all! (Here's the exposé: https://www.buzzfeed.com/arianelang...e-sexual-abuse?utm_term=.ghpmO9Q0n#.upJ7YXe4x )*
I had this same reaction when Louie CK's sexploits were brought to the public's attention. (In case you don't know: he invited women to his hotel-room, asked if they would watch him masturbate, and if they consented he would do so)
These two men, and many more, have been trashed for having - from what I can see - consensual sex.
Now, I'll finally tie this topic to inceldom!
Women scare me. I'm already super-paranoid about the myriad of ways getting a woman to fuck me would blow up in my face, but now I am more confused than ever. If a woman regrets sex with a man, is it now retroactively abuse? Is even a "yes" still potentially a "no"?
I think this is dis-empowering to women, in a backwards way. They are being so infantilized that don't even have the capacity to say no to a man who is asking for consent, or even simply leave the room.
Most people find it self-evident why this behavior is terrible; could someone please explain it to me?
*Oh, I forgot to mention that in my state 16 is the age of consent, which is the same age John K started his relationship with the woman complaining in the article.
