There's a plaza outside my apartment and there's a big concert going on rn.

I was listening to a really upbeat song and for some reason, I thought what it would be like to be there with a girl, dancing and jumping together, kissing her as the music swells around us. How it would be like to hear that song again at 40 and tell my son, "oh, this is a good song." And then tell him how those years were the time of my life and that music brings me back.

It's all just a snapshot of the life I was supposed to have but never will.
