Honestly, my advice is to go in with a good attitude.
I don't know if your school is restricted due to social distancing, but if it isn't here is my advice.
1. Most Universities have orientations for First Year students. This is probably your largest chance to find friends and enter into a social circle. From what I have noticed, most people usually become and stay friends with people they meet at orientation throughout University.
2. First Year is your best chance to make new friends and enter social circles in general. After First Year, again most people will remain closed to meeting new people in Second or Third Year. Be open to going to school events, going to clubs that cater towards your interests, etc.
3. Almost everybody in First Year is going to go clubbing, drinking, etc. I would recommend trying it just to get it out of your system, but do not take it too seriously.
4. People are at their most shallow and most insecure during this time. First Years are anywhere between 18-20, and a lot of them will make their social decisions based off of what is trendy, what is cool, and what makes them look good in front of others. What that means is that this will be the time in your life where people are the most shallow, men are most likely going to bring you down to make themselves look good, and women are most likely to be rude to you to feel good about themselves. Pay them no mind.
5. More guys than you think at your school are in your situation, but they are not going to admit it for fear of being completely socially ostracized. You are definitely not alone in being an incel at University. There are a select number of guys getting laid, and the vast majority of guys are just playing with their dicks. So you aren't really missing out on much compared to the average male your age.
6. Focus more on studies. University is temporary, but what comes afterwards is permanent. Make good decisions while in University, and once you are earning good money you can fuck the very same college girls who usually escort themselves to pay for tuition anyways.
Best of luck Anon.
