College/University is way too expensive for the average person and the degrees are not worth it unless you're trying to become a lawyer or doctor. I will not fry my brain as I had to make an essay for something completely different, but you get the foundation of what I'm trying to say. Don't get me started on the job market, either. I might make a follow-up backing up my claims as to why I personally think college/university is a scam

Where I live u need a degree if u want a somewhat decent job.

You got to go get the necessary qualifications for your future tho.

You can learn everything you need online. There are tons of free lectures from top universities on YouTube. Many professors teach stuff but don’t do it in real life. You might learn calculus from someone who has never solved a real problem. It's like taking business advice from someone who never ran a business.

There is no future for us, and for the average person, since the job market is fucked, by the time they get the degree they want, they'll have to work on a shitty dead-end job that has nothing to do with their qualifications or with whatever degree they have.

Damn it, I wish there was a way to increase IQ, my 85 IQ can only do so much smh (I'm black)

Also, this is the stupidest thing people say about college: how you’ll “open your mind” and “think on a higher level.” The people who say these kinds of things are living in a bubble. If you want to experience this, go to Costa Rica and go on an ayahuasca retreat. You won’t have to go into $40k of debt or spend four years of your life to do it, except, oh wait, that costs money, a lot of it, too.

The average normie, especially the boomers, may say, "Just go to college for four years, so you'll get a good job." This sounds good on paper, and don't get me wrong—if you're trying to become a lawyer or a doctor, then that's completely reasonable. However, 9/10, you're not trying to do either.

In many cases, yes.

That said, I would much rather get a useful degree rather than doing customer service or physical labor. I got degrees in acct./finance and I work in a shitty government office. Its hard to get a new job because of my work experience, but I still apply and interview often. That said, its still better than doing customer service or physical labor.
