I haven't given up yet, but I know I'm not getting very far.

My dream of learning coding is shattered cuz of this. I'm still gonna try, just because I want to so bad, but you do need problem solving abilities for it, as well as intelligence obviously. I don't really have any of that, I am only somewhat decent at math, but literally only basic math, everything else I forgot other than add, subtract, multiply, divide and maybe some other basic concepts (mostly grade school shit). For coding its more of the harder concepts of math, I barely even remember algebra tbh. You also need skills for advanced math topics, as well as problem solving abilities along with it. And this is why learning it is a real challenge for me. Plus I end up forgetting everything.

This is why I dropped out of high school, everything is too hard for me and will only get harder as time progresses. I've noticed over the years that I'm actually retarded.

What language?

Just acknowledge that something works rather than learning it. Start small and slowly build your way up over time. There is no other solution honestly.

Curries are taking over the game anyway. If you are not curry then you will not be in the coder caste in the future.

Somewhere in the midst of dumping dead bodies in the shit-filled rivers of Calcutta they decided programming would be a good way to take over 1st world countries. Superpooper 2030

You don't need math for programming. Do you think all those female frontend "developers" know math?

I mean it's all just hard for me, idk what they know or have that I dont that they learned to become coders, but they have everything I dont tbh.

This is a meme straight out of /sci/. Programming is 100% based in math. The first computer scientists were mathematicians. Computer science books are right next to math books (QA) in college libraries

C is one of the harder languages tbh. If the problem solving is what's bothering you idk how much it would help to switch but there's a lot of technically easier languages like java.

And? Times changed.
I have yet to use something besides four basics math operations and modulo in my job lmao. In 99% of companies you will never need math.

I thought about going to "Information systems" at college which is basically coding but I decided to study humanities because I'm retarded at math.

Game programming uses a shit-ton of math. Simulation programming needs stuff like probability, graph theory and physics

JFL if you want to tackle AI or ML without a solid bg in math

it's all the same tbh, I cant learn anything but I'll continue trying it's all I can rly do at this point

ASM and prolog are harder. C is ezpz

Only learn basics from C like arrays, pointers and shit so you will know how stuff works behind the scenes in object oriented languages. There's no point learning more C because you won't find a job in that field unless you are a giga C expert.

The only real 'difficulty' of C is pointers. Just manage your memory. I agree it's not a really marketable skill because curries and foids like "languages" like python and JS

I've been a programmer (professionally) for 15 years and the most complex math I needed was how to calculate a percentage and some elementary school level trigonometry (and even for that I'll go to Wikipedia to remind myself what's sin, cos and tan).
Sure there's programming problems that require more advanced math, but for most stuff you're likely to encounter, chances are if you ask on StackExchange someone will solve the problem for you.

I thought you were learning C#...? Or was it some other programmercel? What can you do with C these days anyway?

Just because you don't think what you are doing is math doesn't mean it isn't. Everything about computers is mathematical. It's finite math and number theory but math nonetheless. Math elitists want to disown their lovechild CS but it is still fucking math. Even simple if/else blocks are probability in practice

I think that was me, im confused which is which but now I know its C (i think). Just learning it so other languages make more sense to me lol, I'll probably end up pythoncelling in the future tho

So? Everything about computers is physics because computers run on electrons, but I don't need to know any of that to make a fun game that will be bringing me passive income for the next 5 years.

What elementary school did you learn trig in? In burgerland that's 'advanced' high school stuff and many don't see it until college

I didnt learn it in elementary school

So? The entire world is mathematical. Math elitists shitting on CS are retards. Math is a powerful tool to understand and explain the universe and computers were invented by mathematicians to solve problems the human brain is incapable of solving. End of story. The fact that Stacy Thundercunt can bang a different chad every day using Tinder doesn't make computers any less mathematical number crunching machines

this lol

telling a beginner programmer to learn math is 4chan meme, they've never had a job and are armchair experts, wasted time on learning useless shit and now want to waste other people's lives

it's like a dude asking for gym tips because he just wants to have a good looking abs on the beach and someone starts telling him what kind of protein he needs to buy and how to do his legs and back like he wanted to be a fucking bodybuilder

first just learn programming, you can always learn more math if you will start noticing you need it but in a world where almost every programmer does web development that's unlikely

Having a solid understanding of math puts any software developer lightyears ahead of meme script kiddies. There are literally no downsides of knowing the basis (another math term) of the entirety of computers. Most software companies take math degrees as equal to or better than CS and over IS.

Same, I just gave up lol

Programmers are fakecels because they can afford escorts

No way I'm paying for an escort, she earns as much in one hour as I do in 10 hours, I won't support that.
And I'd cum in a minute anyway, waste of money.

Coding is the incel job, if you can't do it its over
