I watched the third film in the film series yesterday, and I honestly wasn't disappointed with any of the films. Link

The films are remake of R1/R2. A moderate amount of changes were made from the original series, but it still follows the same basic structure as R1/R2. There are some new lines, and some new scenes. So it isn't just a recap series, but a different thing altogether from the original two seasons.

The thing I am most excited for, though, is the 4th film which is set to be released in February of 2019. It will be entirely new, not a remake of previous episodes, and it will be set in the same universe as the three preceding films. The BD won't be released till around 5 months after the film is released in theaters, which means English subs won't be released till July or August of 2019.

This whole thread has pretty much been turned into a dumpster fire, pretty sad I'm gonna admit. Hmm.....Y'know, since I have a lot time in my hands, I guess I could binge-watch the Code Geass series starting with the anime today. I'll return to this thread tonight to post what I thought about it so far, hopefully it's an anime I'd call a masterpiece.
