he does have a deceptively likeable/attractive face in spite of his gigantic beak like nose (hilariously this is even written into the dialogue in later seasons where one character says something to effect of "the only man you know who can smoke a cigarette in the rain and not get it wet. Its like a natural canopy". I always wonder how actors truly feel about their physical flaws being pointed out over and over even though its just "acting". Like fat actors being called fat fucks in every script they perform)

people underestimate the importance of status. All these ugly fat manlets who were in The Sopranos could conceivably still slay due to the status of being a highly paid famous actor irl or a dark triad gangster in the show.

Pine barrens is a good deconstruction of their characters especially Paulie. They 2v1 an ex russian army guy and almost lose, then fail to track him in the wilds and almost die to exposure whilst turning on each other and generally acting like bitches.
