they have stable demographics, their price of labor is extremely competitive, their manufacturing industry looks good and they can actually exploit uniquely need in the american market for medium tech manufacturing since usa does high end manufacturing very well but is awful at medium tech, for example usa can build the most covid vaccines but it cant build the face masks, this is where mexico can help
they also have very good trade relations with usa so that helps
china is demographically fucked, china already cant even compete with vietnam, they import 90% of their food and energy, meaning china is like 2 minutes away from fucking famine
russia may have theoretical potential if they remove corrupt leadership, liberal leadership would wreck the country because western corporate capital would destroy the country 90s style while security oligarchy protects from the west but takes heavy toll in corruption, highest proven natural resources, highest engineering phd per capita, economy immune to sanctions, dominating food and weapons and aerospace and energy markets, but demographics arent looking very good and the leadership also demonstrated massive corruption and incompetence
so its a mixed bag
