The picture of the young and tall Chicago PD officer with blonde quiff got a lot of play on social media this weekend, here is it next to the undoctered, original image. The tweaks made for humorous, meme purposes are pretty minor if you ask me. If 'Chad' was a class in a script written in an object oriented programming language, then the above example is an instantiation of class Chad that approaches the desired outcome pretty closely.

Chad is a Platonic ideal of a (sexually) desirable man, a Jungian archetype - and every man alive contains more or less Chadness within him - and is hierarchically sorted accordingly in the great socio-sexual sorting algorithm that is life.

If I had to come up with a fanfic backstory for this guy, I'd say he looks like a college football player who flunked out because he couldn't be bothered with academic coursework. Not that it matters, he'll still win at life and rise through the ranks of the police with his physical prowess, confident demeanor and halo-effect towards a 6 figure income in his 30s and a fat sweet pension fund. All without a college degree.

It's an imperfect analogy. IRL there will always be minor (or major) replication errors. Think in mechanical engineering, where machinists deviate from the blueprint, or in construction when contractors accidentally execute parts of the architect design incorrectly, or DNA sequencing errors in cell division in microbiology.

It's a mixture of resentment, envy and hate of the owner class. And you find it all throughout the left, from the working and lower middle class communists to the careerist middle and upper middle class socialists who dislike both working plebs and billionaires. What they all have in common is that they want to ascend to the billionaire stratum or bring the billionaires down to their level.
