CHICAGO — A Bucktown dad putting his young child into the family car was carjacked at gunpoint early Sunday morning, doorbell security video shows.
The incident took place at around 8:45am at the corner of Armitage and Honore, according to police.
A 38-year old man was in his driveway loading his child into his car when he was approached by a suspect with a gun, police said.
According to authorities, the suspect instructed him to take the child out of the car seat and to give him “everything he had.” The victim complied, and the carjacker escaped in his 2017 BMW.
No one was injured, police said.
The suspect remains at large and Area Five detectives are investigating.
