looks like she’s looking for an excuse to break up with her oofy doofy husband. How is him saying “now that you’re a big shot i won’t see you anymore” anywhere remotely close to downplaying her achievements? To me it sounds like he’s insecure that he won’t be seeing his wife as much anymore. She made that huge leap in logic so she can feel comfortable breaking up with him with no guilt, she has probably lost all attraction for him since she’s more socially successful and probably believes she can do better.
