Almost a decade ago I said in Highschool MULTIPLE times that cars of the future will only be for upper class and rich people and cars will mainly be provided by a firm as a company car.
First regular people are being priced our of home ownership - houses and even smaller Apartments here in Germoney really are just for rich people. Either you have massive Generational Wealth or Win the lottery. There is no way for average income person to ever afford a family home EVEN if we include a double median income AND I even let CHATGPT run it through all inflation data it would take an average couple who both work AND annually invest into the SPY 18 YEARS (!!!) to buy a house that costs 500k now. Which is in most parts of Germoney the average price for a modern home.
Now the Auto Industry is Next - there are honestly TOO MANY cars on the road to begin with. Even my father agrees, driving became unbearable with all these cars on the road.
Now I knew that cars were already a big money drain 10+ years ago and still I told my teachers and peers: no regular person will be able to afford a car in the future.
Like USUALLY they laughted when I said that the German Car market will COLLAPSE! Now it is the beginning - if not even already the middle phase - Volkswagen and Stellantis are collapsing and even TSLA gets rage.
Resources are dwindling, auto tariffs with Trump - loans are too high, income too low and inflation will HIT THE WEST LIKE A GREAT DEPRESSION.
Tbh I think the rich and the politcians dont even WANT the average Oofy Doofy to own a car.
They want home office, they dont want the average guy to go places. Average guy is supposed to work 2 jobs all around the clock and get nowhere but to his lonely home.
Couple more years and the average Toyota will be 100k$
