I was re-watching the first Captain America movie yesterday and realized how no one has mentioned how blatantly black-pilled it is. Steve Rodgers is the archetype of an incel. He's a manlet, he's 120 pounds, has no jaw and zero skills to talk to women. He gets moged hard by Bucky and has to be treated like a kid because he gets his ass kicked all the time. There's a scene in the movie when they get on a double date before Bucky gets deployed and he's not even acknowledged by the other girl. I notice these things now, Bucky holds his girl by her hand and the other girl holds the hand of the first girl; like if he was dating both.
Look the first minute an look at 0:56 They look she gives him.
Why is this important? Because of how things change when he gets his powers. Steve only changes on the outside. He wants to go to war stop suffering, not for glory. He's brave, empathic, altruistic and determined. The professor even says he needs him because he is a good man, not because he's strong. Yet, no girl puts an eye on him. He should be the perfect example of personality over looks but he's still invisible to women. Later when he meets Agent Carter, he gets the same treatment. He earns some respect from her but he's never seen as attractive, she just kinda pity him and doesn't want to see him get hurt. But after the experiment, this happens:
From 0:40 to 0:55
She practically sees him as someone else. The first Steve is dead to her. It wasn't his courage or putting his life at risk for others what get her wet, it was his new body. Steve is exactly the same he was 2 minutes before but he has a totally different aura now. Even the nurse is struggling to turn away.
8:49 to 9:36
Bucky: "I'm invisible, I'm turning into you". He was aware of the moging and probably took advantage of this before when Steve was an incel. Notice how he slowly became more confident. He can look at Carter in the eye and he can stand straight. He was always looking down before and had a perpetual expression of doubt. This translates into the other movies as well, we can see trying to impose others but remaining a good man all along.
In Winter Soldier we see Black Widow trying to hook him up but he's reluctant, probably because he's still a virgin. She even mentions that he wasn't kissed even from before getting frozen.

Remember when in the Avengers Tony Stark got all the info and videos from the other heroes as preparation? Black Widow probably also saw the videos. Why would she assume Steve didn't kiss anyone before? Because he did it wrong? She surely watched the videos and photos of Steve before the experiment and concluded that. Steve denies this but he was probably larping; as any virgin does when confronted with this question.
Before, we have this scene when she says they are engaged and it's totally believable.

Notice how hostile she is with that technician guy after he mentions Steve's glasses. Making a comment about his appearance when nothing he said was remotely related to he being similar to Steve physically.
