A former Canberra student teacher convicted by a jury of sexual offences against a 15-year-old boy she first met on a teaching practical has been spared jail.

A former student teacher convicted of sexual offences against a 15-year-old boy she first met on a teaching practical has been spared jail.

Gee, color me surprised.

Petra Shasha, 29, was found guilty in the ACT Supreme Court of maintaining a sexual relationship with a child, providing pornographic material, grooming and an act of indecency by a jury last year.

So in other words, she is an indecent adult worthy of punishment in the eyes of the alleged "egalitarian & liberal" mindset of the Australian public- so what justice will be dished out?

Today she was given an intensive corrections order of one year and eleven months, to serve in the community, and fined $1,000.

The evidence included pornographic images Shasha sent to the boy, gifts of money and clothes, and frequent lifts to school and other places.

So in other words, she's a classic grooming predator with sociopathic tendencies

"I am satisfied it was him who sought you out," Justice Burns said to Shasha.

The boy made contact on Instagram and asked Shasha for help with a Year 10 assignment, telling her he was 16, which was a lie.

Now yeah sure he did reach out & did lie about his age, but the context implies one year makes a difference?
