Can you look better in real life compared to how you look in a photo?

If your photos get rated a 4-5 or whatever and even you think you never were photogenic, can you actually be a higher rating and look more attractive in real life where it matters?

Photos are a very good way to judge attractiveness. Having said that, they don't tell the whole story. Because we have binocular vision, we can perceive the depth of a face, AKA forward growth, even when looking someone head on. This information is lost in pictures. So just one picture may not be enough to judge someone and it goes both ways: someone with good symetry and facial ratios, but poor forward growth may look good in pictures, but bad IRL and vice versa.

Best way to know how you really look : have someone take a pic of with a pro camera with your face being a meter away from the camera. Did it myself and I felt suicidal.

tbh when i have done selfies to post to my small number of normie friends, i dont look too bad, but its pure sui fuel if u point camera at mirror and take photo.

Depends. Well made photos can make average people attractive and bad photos can make attractive people average or even unattractive. My oneitis was absolutely unphotogenic while irl she was the most beautiful creature in the world.
