Can you live a happy life without ever being in a romantic/sexual relationship?

While it is rather a social standard to have romantic/sexual relationships in our society, do you guys think it is possible to live a happy or fulfilling life without doing so? I am sort of a Mentalcel turned Volcel and I've often thought of pretending to be asexual and just living life. But as a heterosexual, I don't know if I would be happy in the future. For a heterosexual male, will a lack of a relationship always be a drain on happiness, or will the desires eventually fade?

If you were extremely rich you could live a happy life. You can travel anywhere, buy all the coping mechanisms possible weed, vidya etc etc. You could replace relationships with prostitutes if you really wanted to.

You can be fine. You can never be happy.

Happiness is complex and something I still struggle to attain. Happiness is desire based and in the absence of a fulfilled desire happiness seemingly becomes all but impossible to achieve. This is why it is best to base our happiness upon that which is attainable. I am disabled and a problem I have in terms of becoming happy is that I do not seem to be able to be happy when I am in pain. So the question is how can I suffer and be happy at the same time as it seems that misery and happiness are mutually exclusive terms?

I suspect the answer is to redefine what happiness is to me or perhaps lower the bar I set when measuring happiness. I do believe that one can suffer adversity yet find a measure of happiness. Perhaps read up on stoic philosophy which basically teaches one how to bear adversity well... something I am working on but have yet to master.

You can live a happy life without a romantic / sexual relationship as male ?? No you can't, otherwise it will just be a cope.

No. I think asexuals are just bullshitting. Most are just incel in denial.

For some men I think a life with no partner and no sex is fine and dandy (sour candy). For most of us it is hell.

But hey, there are plenty of people with all kinds of good things in their life who are super-miserable. So yay for happiness being restricted to the few.

Thanks evolution for making us perpetually dissatisfied, and also depressed if we can't reach our goals!

It’s why I gave up first I thought it was possible, then I realized there’s no point if I’m going to end up alone

it certainly would be very very hard for a healthy male, if not impossible. seeing sex/romance stuff pushed onto you in the media and in real life constantly, knowing that you've missed out on a crucial part of life that most people take as granted...
Yeah the constant pressure by the media and society would be quite a burden.

The thing is, if you were rich it would probably be a lot easier to get a relationship. And although I'm still in college, I don't have that high expectations for the future. While I would consider my self quite intelligent, most of the mega-rich become rich just from dumb-luck.

Kek why are there even asexual activists?
Just don't have sex and call it a day already.
They all look like they couldn't get sex if they wanted to in the first place.

HAHAHAHAHHHAA

Yes, but only if I was rich.

If I was rich I wouldn't even engage with females WHATSOEVER. I wouldn't even look at them in the street.

Give me a nice realistic feeling sexbot so I could cuddle with it at night and I'm good to go. Better than a female who will cheat on me any day.

I'll have a look at stoic philosophy, I've heard of it but nether looked into it. And about the question, I guess the ways to be happy while you suffer is 1) to try and minimise the suffering and maximise the happiness in your life or 2) try and deal with the suffering to the point where it does not affect you anymore

You can have a way above average life in every other aspect but something crucial will always be missing.

I don't buy wizardry/asceticism that much, I think less than 1% of the male population is really able to live a fulfilling life asexually without missing it at all.

Not if you have any desire to have one.

The problem is that even once you've accepted your eternal solidarity someone is always gonna want to check your ass especially if you work in an office setting. They'll constantly offer you advice and a bunch of bull but never any real solution and you're left wanting to kill yourself because people will always judge you and you could never ever really be trusted. Bosses learn quickly that the most dangerous thing to their company is a single man because a single man could always just leave instead of having to put up with bullshit. So where does this leave you? You'll either have to end up settling very low usually with a single mother of multiple Tyrones and getting laughed at by your colleagues while she most definetly sleeps around behind your back and divorces you and takes your shit or opening your own buissness which we all know is almost next to impossible unless you've already got money.

Nope

We have dicks for the purpose of sticking them in beautiful femoids.

Currently it's impossible -- everything would be coping. When VR and AI becomes more advanced, it'll be possible.

No. Sex is a human right. You can live the same way you can live without privacy or in some war zone in Syria - your existence would be miserable tho.

Short answer? No

Long answer? Fuck no.

It would be VERY difficult to just ignore people talking about their partners, seeing romantic plots constantly in various forms of media, and overall loneliness.

Sex, relationships and having support from your loved ones is a big part of your life.
