Tbh the issue with the manosphere and the redpill in general was that there were a lot of guys that were virgins and had no experience with women that nevertheless found those spaces captivating because they were spaces where they could vent about issues without being shamed as much as elsewhere, even though most of the people in those communities did not relate to their lack of sexual experience. It was a sort of awkward time where a lot of virgin guys like this would talk about things as if they were slaying or had some success with women to fit in.
It wasn't until incels gained more prominence from 2017 onward that such guys that were virgins could find a community of others guys that like them truly didn't have much sexual experience with women but did not have to hide it or downplay it while still being able to vent and discuss the same issues they have with being mistreated by women. Only they didn't have to hold back at all because there was no need or fear to appear not angry at women that many manosphere and redpill groups had/have for PR-like reasons.
From what I've seen from mgtow groups a lot of them identify with the philosophy less so to make a statement or try to get back at women and more so because they have had bad experiences with women in relationships and don't think the effort to pursue them is worth it given how little women think of the average non chad male and how women constantly give the average guy hell. Since a lot of more long term mgtows were former men's rights activists it also makes sense that they wouldn't want much to do with women because they didn't have a good opinion of women after seeing how little women care about men's rights.
These days though with the rise of incel communities and more virgin males feeling comfortable not engaging in a false sexual consciousness the need to wonder whether they would qualify as a mgtow or not is for the most part over since they have their own community now of other guys that are also virgins but blackpilled on women.
Anyway a lot of people here say the redpill is dying and it's true because now all the issues the redpill and manosphere groups talked about are now associated more with inceldom than anything else and the blackpill best explains most of the behavior virgin unattractive males experience from women and society. And they are told anyway by society that if they talk about these things that they are incels. Redditors calling every guy with little sexual experience that criticizes women "incels" has actually done more to blackpill more virgin males than any kind of blackpill outreach here imo.
TL;DR: the need to wonder whether incels would qualify or not as mgtow is for the most part over since a more clear distinction has arisen between those groups of people. The distinction between previous redpill and more new blackpill groups is becoming more generational as less men even have the opportunity to betabuxx and so can't relate to what the redpill or mgtow is saying as well and have their own communities to better discuss these things in a way that makes sense to them. And people calling every sexually inexperienced male that criticizes women or society's focus on women an incel are probably doing more to blackpill virgin males than anything else.

The best thing men can do is not ignore the signs of a lot of men being treated badly in society and assume it's normal thinking it's guys they mog that are getting this treatement and that they couldn't possibly be next. All the while continuing to try to prove that they are the exception to women's bad view of most men and that they can prove that they are the better man.
Previous generations of men largely did that and took women insulting them or disrespecting them as flattering and didn't give it much thought while continuing to work for the benefit of society.

Some of them are actually successful and I think there are a few good looking men who just can't stand females anymore, or had really fucked up experiences with them.
