Can we have reactions to posts/thread replies here?

I used to use a now defunct forum called enjin and it had a function where you could do the reddit equivalent of awarding a post but for free. I was thinking these would just be limited to very binary and few things like "disagree" , "agree" , and maybe a few more like "based" or "cope." Basically just a way to register opinions on replies without having to form a huge conversation of quoted replies. But at the same time we would need to keep these minimal to avoid the incoherent emoji board of reactions that reddit has.

to answer your question, no, rewarding posts with likes encourages a sheep-like mentality alongside ppl who are buddy-buddies with someone in the forum which tends to be annoying, not to mention all the memey attention whores like the ones you see on Reddit or YT comments. Kinda makes me vomit since at that point people would rather get internet points than to post their opinion on something.
