Can average or ugly people have good looking children?

I will definitely be going through with an arranged marriage sometime in the next two years. I'm gonna tell my parents to get me the best looking girl of at least average height. I'm not gonna prioritize any other criteria apart from virginity. I don't care if she's never been educated or is as dumb as a bag of rocks. They'll probably still only be able to find a below average girl, but I'm okay with that.

I have to decide whether or not I want to procreate. I'm indian so there's a lot of family pressure to breed as soon as you're married.

Barring any genetic facial deformities, can two ugly people of average-above average height have good looking children?

i saw the mom of an oneitis once and she was much less good looking, kind of a slightly darker latina, she obviously bred with a white man and her daughter came out milky white and beautiful (to me anyway), recombination knocked it out of the park there

It's possible but generally speaking average produces average, ugly produces ugly. There are some outliers of course. Height can be helped somewhat through proper nutrition.

You are fortunate you have access to an arranged marriage. Most of us ethnics here is the west have no such option. Being a curry in India has worked to your benefit it seems. I'm Hispanic and I wish we had arranged marriages as it could provide a way out for me but we dont so it's over.

It's rare. Also, I would like to mention that your early childhood/teens is CRUCIAL for proper development.

You can be an average looking kid, but if you never exercise, never eat right, don't get braces, etc, you will not look good at all when you're 18 and the door for major change begins to close.

A child is not a middle point between two sets of DNA, he actually takes the DNA of approximately half his father and another half from his mother. Theoretically, he could get lucky and maximize both parents genetic makeup, take the good and eliminate the bad, but that's like winning the lottery, most likely he will inherit as much good than bad.
Otherwise, every child carries a certain amount of random mutations, the child could get lucky having the right set of mutations that make him good looking, but that's like winning the lottery once again.
