I think the net in general seems to have caused increased concern about pedophiles, I guess because it inherently makes it easier for them to contact minors.

But yeah in this video I was watching, Hasan and probably others in his audience are trying to call Asmon a pedo for pretty much no reason at all.

I think these days it's just become a common insult. Like racist or sexist or many others.

I feel like it goes one step further than just trying to be unkind like calling someone a loser. It's an accusation, which potentially exposes the person to other hardships like being fired, getting banned from places online, or getting into trouble with the law.

So it's really quite vicious IMO.

Agreed, I take it very seriously when women have called me pedophile and they think I'm exaggerating. A claim can ruin a man's life. Of course, women lack empathy and don't care or understand.
