Calling all weebs: recommend me bleak/depressing anime

I have always hated anime but slowly and surely I started enjoying it quite a lot. I haven't watched many, three or so in total but only one of them was bleak and quite tragic. The other two are fun to watch but they're not what I'm looking for. Movies are fine, too!

my sadness was definitely worsened by the fact i was the most depressed then, and a character that reminded me of my dad ends up dying pretty sadly, made worse by the fact my mom had kicked him out not long before.

and if you end up liking the movie, watch 'in this corner of the world', it's inspired by grave of the fireflies, and hits different notes equally as hard.

Clannad is pretty sad towards the end and angle beats! if you like late 2010's stuff.
