i think they are stuck in this sentiment is because they don't know how bad bullying can get.

this is from experience, bullying can vary from just a simple harassment to something systematic and oppressive.
also, when someone gets bullied - other neutral observers have to pick sides (including superiors). and usually people side with the bully. this is what accelerates the bullying and make it much worse. if no one has your back, other people are gonna come over and take a shot at you.

also, shutting down the bullies by yourself is most likely a bad idea (be it by force, or by officials). because you have to keep in mind that the bully can easily spoof and distort any claims that you make, and some neutral observers will support his version.

tl;dr it can get very problematic, and if you are experiencing systematic bullying/shunning then its best you drop out entirely. in really bad cases there are no heroes or underdogs, i learned it the hard way

I was heavilly and systematically bullied troughout my last 3 years in middle school. During the whole time i just tried to ignore it the best i could and just wait until school was over. I couldn't do much for i was completely alienated from everything, my peers were bullied as well... i literally didn't grasp at all the concepts of social life. My bullies were super popular and had plenty of friends, everytime i would try to (pathetically) counter-attack they would always destroy me easily. There was only one time i fought back and actually sent the bully to the infirmary, later that day i was scolded by the teachers and afterwards, the bully and his goon friends ganged up on me. The bully was desperate at that time because he had lost face for being sent to the infirmay by the most pathetic kid in school.

I'm glad those times are over, sometimes i think how my life would be if i had a healthier childhood...

Nobody deserves being bullied, and the reason is not being a crybaby but being ugly. Being ugly is the ONLY AND SOLE reason for getting bullied, since emo good looking suicidal crybaby faggots were respected and liked anyways because of LOOKS.

Also fighting back is not a solution. When I displayed violence they respected me more but it only lasted until the next day, like if things "resetted". You are your looks.
