My oneitis from many years ago knew I had liked her for a long time but she didn't care. Instead she'd let this other dude, a Chad-lite (who had a GF), flirt with her in front of me.
Being rejected by her was one thing, but to be reminded over and over that I'm not her "type" was a whole new level of brutality. I couldn't understand how she could be so cruel to someone who thought the world of her.
I've lost count of the number of times I've gotten drunk alone and cried over her. I also believe it's a miracle that I didn't self delete in a drunken stupor.
I believe she was trying to send me a message -- "I'm not interested in you". Looking back, I think it would have been a whole lot less painful if she just told me she hated my face.
