I was at this place that is essentially a parkour gym. There where mostly males and around 4 foids. Whenever the foids would be nearby. The males would begin these animal esque displays of physical strength in order to impress them. Trying to climb higher, jump farther, etc. it was akin to the mating strategy of birds showing off their plumage, or ibex fighting for mates. The pre agricultural merit of physical prowess has not left this day and age. At their core, foids are attracted to physically imposing males IE chads, just as they where before the age of farming. Resources such as food and water and land may be more abundant, but the resource of sex remains unattainable for many. And so, in order to get the only resource that eludes them, humans resort to their fallback of physical strength and power. Leaving those weaker and scrawnier in the dust.
