After the Civil War Soviet rule is established over the Central Asia. But local gangs ( bandits by soviet propaganda, really they were Muslim insurgents ) still fight against Communist rule. Two Red Army soldiers - an experienced brave soldier Sukhov ( main hero of the movie ) and young Petrukha have to protect harem of a Muslim women and lead it to the safe place. This harem belongs to a gang leader Abdullah. Now soviet soldiers try to brainwash harem females with 'progressive' communist propaganda but these females still like to be treated like objects ( they were beaten and abused by Abdullah ). (Un)surprisingly, this Abdullah looks like a high T Chad.
The Sukhov accompany Petrukha is a weak, shy male and looks non-threatening and unsuitable for a fight.
Sukhov takes a charge of harem and females recognize his authority but ignore Petrukha. Here they cast him out.

Petrukha tries to talk to a young 14 or 16 y.o. female but she ignores him while talking with Sukhov. At 0.40-1.20.

Red Army soldiers meet a former Tsar's customs official, Vereschagin. Vereschagin is neutral in a war and lives a secluded life with his wife. He is also a heavy drinker and some sort of a Russian strongman. He lost his son and treats Petrukha like a son.
Eventually, gang members beat Petrukha and Abdullah kills him also strangling one of his disobedient wives ( such a strong character ). Angered, Vereschagin avenges for the death of Petrukha despite his wife disapproval. In the end he dies from a boat explosion.

The two main blackpill moments from this movie:
1. Females will never take seriously any man, if he is unable to generate respect and cannot project authority, strenght and fear.
2. Masculine bad boy gets all the females ( as usual ). He is the only character who seem to have sexual prowess so he capitalizes all females.
The positive moment is that some men will do a right thing no matter that. Like avenging a death of a low value male ( even if that male have no value in the eyes of a holes ).
