Sometimes I feel I should just leave this country, but then I wonder if it would be worth the effort, because it really doesn't seem easy to me. I have no valuable skill so finding a job would not be easy, and with no job, no place where to live.

You're making a common mistake, conflating generations from the past with those of the present. The 'French' today are not the same people as the open, free-spirited ones of 70 years ago. Those are now all in nursing homes or dead. They've been replaced by the same type of cucks and SJW's that dominate all the other western countries.
