Boris Johnson signed approval for the 20 billion pound Sizewell C nuclear power station yesterday.

They know the people will go apeshit over this but what can they do if he is leaving in 2 weeks.

Nuclear power is quite literally the best option we have. France is the only country in Europe not quite so fucked at the moment because the invested tonnes of money in nuclear energy so they’re not dependent on Russian or Arab oil and gas.

This plant I think will provide 24/7 electricity for 6 million people's residential electric needs. (Britain has 67 million people)

A very key thing for Russia in comparison is Russia does a very good job on the basics for the economy. Dirt cheap housing, oil, heating fuel, electricity, water and food and vodka.

So even though Russians have shitty incomes in $US Dollar terms.. they aren't actually poor when they have all the basics.
