Well when ronda was huge they also had Cyborg Santos who was always put in the back of the conversation because she was ugly and got caught with roids(implying ronda wasn't on roids either look at this bitch in her prime)

She had more muscles than a pro wrestler. Looks like a fucking female body builder. But of course cyborg never got to fight ronda after begging for the fight for years because the last time they let cyborg fight a "pretty" hype train(carano) she totally destroyed her.

In the ufc if you are "ugly" or have a boring personality your skill is irrelevant. They will just bury the fuck out of you or fire you depending on what's going on. Jon Fitch is probably the best example of a boring fighter being done dirty by the ufc. Wins 9/10 fights gets fired for being boring. Or when a guy like Stipe gets the belt(Oh he's boring generic white guy let's just keep sending killers after him and give the champions we like easy fights)

GSP is an anomaly because the UFC wanted the canadian market. IF GSP were american he would of been cut for the amount of boring fights he put on(almost every GSP fight post serra knockout is a snoozefest)

The UFC also really really loves Daniel Cormier for some reason. Give him mad belts even after losing to jon jones, give him title shots after getting knocked out. Wins heavyweight title, fights 2 different joke contenders for title defenses. Jon Jones and stipe go through murderers row for title shots and defenses. Cormier gets handed belts. The UFC is afterall a promotion so with enough creative matchmaking you can make anyone you want a star(see conor mcgregor)
