I legitimately believe that the average lower class citizen in Uttar Pradesh, India lives better than I do. Their kids have all kinds of problems when they bring them here, though. I was outside the other day and this boomer was outside with his kid. And he was like speaking him to English. He always talks to him in English, but talks to his wife in Hindi. Its not going to help him. I understand that he is well meaning by doing this, but its not going to help that kid. I am talking more in terms of reducing the poor to reliance on the federal government. That keeps any chance of a populist uprising, like in the form of the election of the last President, from happening again. When I say the US has better health care I am mostly just talking about better research hospitals to look for a cure/vaccine. Then of course, the US would be the first to get a dose of whatever treatment it is, whether its hydrochloroquine, or a new vaccine, or whatever. I believe you about Italy. In a way, Southern Italy dodged a bullet with this round of China virus, just because of its milder climate, but when China virus comes back around in the Fall/Winter, they won't be as lucky, and I think the poor will be hit hard. They do get a dusting of snow in some areas of Southern italy, and temperatures can dip just enough for rapid virus exposure. I am on the bad end of this, as I have many chronic conditions. I am not even sure I would do well with this virus. My lungs are healthy but my overall state of general health is not good.
